The compression actually helps it attain those numbers on low boost. But it also limits it in being able to sustain higher boost levels.
An example would be if you throw 8lbs of boost on a 4.6 DOHC MaCh1, it's going to make MUCH more power than the stock 03/04 4.6 DOHC Cobra. With the newer aftermarket blowers, the 4.6's are pushing 650-700 rwhp now without even lifing a valve cover and on pump gas. Now crank your boost up, see if your engine will come close. And that's the lil 4.6. The 5.4 engine is superior still.
And how did you come up with 30% driveline loss for you camaro??? my BB Galaxy loses way less than that, and that's pushing through a 9" rear end and a C6 transmission (strong but probably the most inefficient transmission EVER).
