Having lived in Germany for several years, it is clear there is much more interest and a much larger market for wagons over here. Wagons have grown on me quite a bit since I've been here, and my wife drives a wagon.
I know a lot of people back in the states like the idea of a wagon, but nobody actually seems to buy them when it comes to actually getting a car.
Whatever stigma exists in North America regarding wagons is still alive an well, but I've come to love them.
