As for the social worker- I think she's extremely lucky. The way he planned things out, it's a good thing she didn't make it to the house before the kids. I think he planned to dispatch her first. The kids running to the house gave him an opportunity lock her out so he didn't have to deal with her, and she wouldn't have time to threaten his plan. Other than having to live with the memories, she got lucky.
The thing I want to know is if they suspected this guy of killing his wife- and they knew it, they just couldn't prove it to a jury-yet. Why would they think it was okay to send an unarmed woman alone into his house? It boggles the mind. I'm waiting to see if anything is made of that in the aftermath. Some people need to lose their government jobs over this one.

I agree with this 100%. I do Foster Parenting and I too have seen some things that just makes me scratch my head!!!

Why did they not make this sick man go to the DSS office to "visit" his boys?!?! It is just crazy that this was allowed to happen!
