Some times injuries happen and some times it's hard to tell what is good pain and what is bad pain lol.
Working out and eating right can be very satisfying and sometimes, especially when things don't work as planned, it sucks but in the long run you will feel much better.
An hour workout or a little more is fine but try not to push it to far as when you workout hard for a lengthy time you tend to go from a anabolic(fat burnning) state to a catabolic (fat storing) state. This is partially because strenuous exercise causes the release of the hormone cortisol which causes fat retention.
