I am not an FFL but have friends who are so take my words with a grain of salt...
Some cons are that I believe the ATF frowns upon people running them out of their homes now which means you would need a brick and mortar store or have a performance/gun shop. I have a friend who was grandfathered in and can still run his out of his house.
Another con is you have to do xx amount of business to justify having it. If you could do a few transfers or sales a month, I think you would be fine.
