A Monday back at work after 6 days off involved listening/responding to some 24 messages on my voice mail, even more e-mails, 3 kids/families in crisis of one sort or another..............all in between seeing clients & answering even more calls. Lucky for me, some of my clients did not show up giving me time to do all that plus close a bunch of cases (from an e-mail from my boss stating "these need immediate action"). Of course then I will be fussed at because I lost the productivity of 6 days & then clients don't show up. You just can't win. But the week & a day of was well worth it.
