I got a call from my doctor's office saying that all my test results are back and everything is normal, actually everything looks great so I was looking forward to start back at my single digit body fat % goal, which obviously didn't happen by my birthday but no biggie, it will just take a little longer than planned. Any how I was shaving this mornning and noticed in the mirror that my arms looked puny as compared to a little more than a week ago before everything started. I was bummed, I have been training real hard and it seems all for not. I decided to hop on the eliptical for 20 min and start to get back into the swing of things and 5 min in I was thinking what the heck am I busting my balls for, single % body fat is a lot of work for someone of my age and it's getting harder everytime I do it. Honestly I was ready to jump off and quit but said, ya know I started let me finish this session. Well 20 min in I pushed myself (mentally) to do a bit more and ended up doing 33 min. I went to take a shower and again notice my arms in the mirror and I am pummped again. I then decided that Monday I will start my lifting again and at least get back to where I was which shouldn't take long. I then realized something that I know but lost sight of. Long term goals( Like the one I have) can sometimes be overwelming but the short term goals I set are reatively easy. What I'm trying to say is DO NOT loose sight of your long term goals but Focus on your short term ones, in the end you are moving in the right direction. With that said wait untill you see me when I'm 58, I'm gonna be ripped!!!!
