Basketball and football are rough sports and you have to be in great shape to play at a high level. At least you have pads in other sports while in basketball you take elbows and charges from 250 pound men. It takes a lot of conditioning and stamina to play basketball and to play it well. It's very easy to sprain an ankle, pull a hamstring, etc while playing basketball.

I played basketball every since a little kid, def a lot of moving twisting, and collisions. A lot of sprined ankles, cuts, bruises, bloody mouths, and so on
