Ah. On the V6 if there's a TB coolant coolant line going to and steam line from the TB blade area you can actually bypass it, it's part of the throttle body's anti icing system. It's like 15 bucks from BMR if you want a plug kit rather than rigging one up form hardware store parts. That, the screen delete, porting the TB slightly to round out the casting edges, have gained some power for a couple guys with LS1s.
And since I don't recall there ever being aftermarket TBs for 3800s doing those three (if the V6 has the coolant line to the TB) could actually get a little more oomph out of the motor.
