I goofed. Wrong study.The study I was referring to wasn't done by Helsinki and I haven't been able to find it but I'm sure if anyone's interested you can google it and see tons of studies. What I do know is that it is a tool I use along with others including steady cardio, they both have advantages and disadvantages. One thing to keep in mind though is that true HIIT is an advanced workout and is not for everyone, if you're cardiovascular system is not strong it may be to much can you say HEART ATTACK. So if you want to try it start out easy just as with any exercise routine and increase the intensity as your fitness level increases.
