The whole windshield tinted? Yeah, gotta say thats not good definitely gonna yank you over for that. They made tint easy to enforce here in DE. No aftermarket tint allowed on the front driver and passenger window without a medical waiver. top of the windshield is allowed to be tinted as long as it does not interfere with the AS1 portion of the windshield. No regulations on the rear windows (sides or the back).
Our State statute does not allow regular marked police cars to have tinted windows, but they have given waivers to K9 unit vehicles in reference to the dogs and the heat from the direct sunlight.
I guess the OP doesn't drive around too much at night to have a tinted windshield....definitely a safety concern and opens you up for a big lawsuit in the event of an accident.
