Well we have been throwing around the idea of doing an LS1 swap in the 69 Camaro SS Conv. That car is also a clone, so no need in keeping it "original" he wants to do some suspension work to make it drive more modern, put a new motor with a 4 speed auto w/ overdrive, (thinking of LS1) and bring it down to FL to their second home and use it as their main car. (and with an LS1 and 4speed auto swap, that car should be a mid 20's mpg combined city/hwy car)
Here's a picture of that car. We have had that one longer and done a lot of work on it as well... but no where near as much as we did on the chevelle.
I love the Camaro, and it turns SOOO many heads, but it just isn't as fun to drive as the 450+hp Chevelle was! (however with an LS1 swap it could be a bit more fun

) But nothing tops the sound of a big camed Big Block!
