I shut the generator off and went to bed around 11 last night. When I got up at 4 (had to wake hubby up since I had my cell phone alarm set) I noticed the neighbors who don't have a generator had lights on! So I switched everything back over, have power at the moment, but am leaving the generator set up just in case. Sitting on the back porch waiting for the dogs to do their thing, I heard trees cracking all around me. It's supposed to warm up today, so the weather service has already issued flood watches
Luckily, we're on a hill!
There was an article in the LA Times the other day calling us "Snow Wimps" - this was before the ice storm rolled in. It kind of pissed me off...
This weather would be considered nasty wherever it was, but add in the hills in Seattle, it was truly disastrous. That reporter has no class.
It's Friday! I think I'm going to be able to work today, will have a lot of catching up to do after being closed yesterday, so it's gonna feel like a Monday. Ugh.
