It's past time that this was said, but I'm coming out with it. If any of you guys that weren't around for the first lounge go back and read through it you will see that we had
ZERO drama back in the day. We weren't over the top, causing problems, over sensitive/butthurt and causing unnecessary drama on a weekly basis. We came into the lounge to chill, talk cars and get away from the rest of the site. The mods didn't have to give out constant warnings and infractions and they
NEVER had to close down the old lounge due to inappropriate behavior. Like it or not, these are indisputable facts. How many times have they had to close the lounge down in the last few months and clean it up due to over the top antics and conversations?? Twice if my memory serves me well.
I'm not saying that any one person is at fault, but it's not a coincidence that the lounge has gone downhill over the past 8 months. You notice how I took long breaks from the lounge last year and how Brandon is rarely around? There are also a couple of other old regulars that don't post nearly as much as they used to. The lounge has gone to shit compared to what it once was, and I, like quite a few others are sick of the drama around here. It's completely taken the fun out of the lounge and it's caused the mods to have to do far too much policing of this thread. This has always been a family orientated site and the mods have done well to keep it clean. People think that just because this is the lounge they can come here and say whatever they want despite the rules.
They assume it will not be seen and that they can get away with it and that's helping to destroy what the lounge is all about. To be perfectly honest I'm shocked the lounge hasn't been closed down permanently by now. It would've exhausted my patience by now if I were a mod and had to deal with it.
