The "look" should not be a concern. What it does show is the willingness to go back to rear wheel drive and including it on a whole new platform base. The base can be used for ... what? Z28? ZL1? Who knows? But whatever they do, it will be weighing much less! Maybe less than the new ATS. Now, I don't have an opinion on that until it materializes and I get to "feel" the ride dynamics along with the comfort and noise. I certainly wouldn't want another Chevy Monza A la 1975 ........
The Jalopnik site said this about the new Chevy concept:

We're not saying the design is derivative so much as it is a collage that when combined provides a completely underwhelming design for their perception of America's future."
