The Charger doesnt have the Magnetic handling the ZL1 has and the technology of the car is better than the Charger plus a 10hp advantage isnt enough to counter its weight problem. In the turns and road course the ZL1 would win for sure, in a straight line it probably still wins.
You realize the 2 cars would be nearly the same weight? The current Charger Hemis all have iron blocks, the 426 is all Aluminum. The ZL1 is around 4150 pounds, stock Charger R/T around 4200, if the switch to all Aluminum drops just 50 punds, that is enough to even the weight and the Charger still has more power. in the turns, who knows. The latest upgrades to the LX/LY suspensions have made them into decent handling beasts, ZL1 will rpobably be better, but they are going to be much closer than what you want to think. And something to keep in mind, even if this upgrade costs 20k, a Charger R/T starts at 30k, or 25k LESS than a ZL1, hell, you would have 5k left to upgrade that susopension to match or better the ZL1s!

I wonder if they will offer it with the 32k Charger R/T AWD???? 590 HP and AWD, that would be pretty sweet
