Many would have thought the same thing about the camaro/cadillac v6 back in '07.
also, it's a completely different block/engine/heads/everything from the Jag 5.0 v8.
The Z06 use to have an impressive 385-405 hp. Now even the base model Corvettes are way above that. And on an engine costing basically the same. I wouldn't worry about Ford making it work, I'm sure they will.
I think Ford will put it in a car costing ~34,000 to compete with the camaro 2ss. I doubt all GT's will have it though. There is absolutely no need for them to, but I wouldn't rule it completely out.
