Like others said, I bet Ford is waiting to announce their ring times. Probably around the ZL1 launch date to take all the wind out of their sails just like they did with the 650 Hp announcement.

No doubt this is what they are doing, 2013 GT500 production starts in the summer, they will want to time their announcement to deliver a final blow to the ZL1. That is if they are able to beat the time, which I honestly wouldn't be surprised about...
