I just find it amazing that they shoved a small block in sideways. I hate the NASCAR styling of the last monte carlos, the grand prix look far nicer, and to a lesser extent so does the Impala (though I'm not sure why on that). I don't know much about the last montes, other than they were a 2 door, front drive, with a v8 option
