I think the 2012 GT500 only has 285 width tires. Easy to burn them to the rim with out torque management. Anyone see if Ford announced wider rubber or the 2013?

I agree. Just as the ZL1 uses it's traction management to do the same thing. It will be interesting to see which system works better for the average ZL1/GT500 driver. In reading the article, it sounds like the Ford system allows more user adjustability that the "select your condition" setup on the Camaro.
