I don't like that the 7 team conferences make it easier to make the (semi?) play-offs for the teams in those conferences. However, I do like that post-season play will be longer or at least from what I understand that's how it's going to work. It has been apparent to me, especially with the Wings, for years now that many of the top players seem to not care about the regular season at all.
