I didn't see the owner (young man) was in it til he was getting out..I said nice car sir, I have a Camaro too. He said, thank you then asked me in what color and if V6 or V8. I said, its IOM color and a V8. He said NICE! Then he said, yeah, I am sure you can tell mine is a V6 (I can tell he started to feel uncomfy about the SS badging)...I interrupted him right there. I told him, man, your car looks awesome no matter what you want to put on it. Make it as you like. I gave him my number in case he has questions about Camaros or wanna hang out. Told him about this site too.

What's fascinating for me is trying to figure out what benefits do people actually get from putting a fake badge on their car. It clearly doesn't make it look any better. The answer is clear to me: "because I want to make people believe in a lie". I just want someone to admit it and stop justifying it with irrelevant BS like "it's not hurting anybody". Just admit it: because you want people to believe something that's not true.
It's equivalent to a sargeant putting on lieutenant stripes. Why would someone do that? It's to make people believe in a lie. There's no other explanation for it, and the more people try to justify it, the more I am inclined to keep going on about it until they admit the truth.
