Both texting and talking on the phone is illegal here in Cali, but that hasn't stopped anyone. You're supposed to use hands free devices, but I see countless people daily with phones up to their ears. If people would pay as much attention to the traffic as they do their conversations then traffic accidents could be reduced considerably. I for one can't stand to see someone yapping away while driving. Most people seem oblivious to what's going on around them, and I couldn't count how many times I've been cut off in traffic by someone talking/texting and not paying attention.
