Finally got to pick up the SUV today. Guys at the shop really did right by me. Only had to pay for parts, not labor. I asked what the odds were that the radiator would go AND so would the gauges telling me the radiator is bad?? I was told that they checked with Mitsubishi and this is a REALLY COMMON problem - once the gauge is topped out, it fries the circuit board. I wonder if the company designed it that way to make some more money??? So, if any of you have a Mitsubishi and it overheats, have the shop test the circuit board for the gauges too... $1200 in repairs in less than a week... Thank God there are 3 paychecks in December, or Christmas would be slightly less merry...
