Wow. This is a toughie, Nick.
I know that the firefighters I know would go in and rescue anyone inside, whether they had been paid and it was covered, or not. We don't have fire fees around here.
But really is it that hard to come up with $100? Bet they didn't pay homeowner's insurance either. You get what you pay for...
