No they're not. In the case of the V6 vs SS, it's purely an aesthetic difference - there is no functional difference; therefore it's the same as a badge just on a different scale.

Like I said, both the guy faking it with a badge and the guy faking it with body panels use the same argument. "It's my car blah blah". "Why should you care blah blah". "Me likes it that way blah blah".
