The first 2008 Dodge Challenger won't be the only one to find its owner via auction. The 43rd Challenger, chosen because it matches the number used by NASCAR legend Richard Petty, will be auctioned off via eBay shortly after the production car is finally unveiled next month at the Chicago Auto Show.

It will be the only Challenger painted B5 Blue, the same color as Petty's NASCAR Superbird, and black stripes will adorn the hood. All proceeds from the auction, which will last from February 12 to 22, will go to Victory Junction Gang Camp, a charity founded by Petty's son Kyle that works to enrich the lives of children with chronic illnesses.

In addition, the auction winner will receive two VIP passes to the Dodge Challenger 500, which will be held at Darlington Speedway on May 10, a meet-and-greet with Kyle Petty, and a Dodge Motorsports prize pack.
