Yes, I would like to key that person's car who is littering...or something else disrespectful for them to learn a lesson....eye for an eye...I think is how it's said. I know it's not right, but sometimes I can't help myself when I see how disrespectful people are. That's a different topic for a different forum, though.
As for this topic, just don't be disrespectful is my opinion. If it's close or a jam packed lot, use one space. If it's empty and you're in the back, use however many you want...but know some people will not like it.
