Regarding your envious girlfriend, talk to her about it and tell her to grow a thicker skin or she'll never be able to own a friendship. If she's jealous of you because you have a nice car and cool stuff then she just needs to up her own damn game and work on getting her own cool stuff. You could try feeding her own vanity and find things to compliment her on and stroke her ego but basically she just sounds jealous. It's easier for her to be envious of you than grow her own sense of self. Oh, and dollars to donuts there's another jealous girlfriend out there feeding her envy so watch your back.
