I am out here in Altus OK and just had my first flight on the C-17 where I was the boss. After thousands of hours on the C-5 Galaxy the C-17 has been a learning curve (trying to forget all the C-5 stuff). Well at the end of a 6 hour flight of doing AR's (aerial refueling), 300 foot low levels at 310 Knots, assault landings, touch and goes, and combat off loads..My instructor looked at me and said
" You were extremely knowledgeable and fast for it being your first operational flight on the C-17. It was like you have been on the plane for years!" SAaaaWeEEET! Heck yeah!
Now I wish they would let me go home. lol
