So Im in a few bands and have built some guitars before, and painted some cars, so I figured I could build and paint a Bass for my friend who wanted a blood splatter look.

You can also follow pretty much the same steps and paint a car.

This was all done from autozone spray paint (lacquer)

So, he got this black bass for free from someone who abused the crap out of it and had major dents and scrapes so most of it had to be taken down to the wood.
