I agree with the general consensus here that you will need at least a 1500. When I trailer cars around, I always use my F-250 which gets the job done right. However, I had to use my friend's Ram 1500 to tow a car once, and I was a lot less comfortable. The power, brakes, and handling were not that great. It would be fine if you didn't need to tow often. I would not advise you getting a colorado even if the load capacities and trailering capacities said you could tow your car. It would be extremely dangerous in my opinion.
And parking in a full size truck is not that big of a deal. If you can learn to back in to spots, that will help parking out significantly.
Also, even if you tow once a year, I would recommend getting a full size truck just because its safer (especially if you have little experience towing) and more reliable.
