from what I heard about the "new" xbox it will just be an update, which I can agree with because when you look at games like MW3 and Skyrim the graphics are amazing so what's the point in releasing a new console that will make their originals obsolete?

Really...Why not take Apples approach to "new" items. The iPhone became the iPhone 3G, then the 3GS, 4, and now the 4S. Nothing MAJOR changed and almost everything is still compatible through the line. Faster hardware, more memory, voila...Development costs would be less, and hell...Game consoles cost less than cell phones and iPads.
