quoted for opinion.....IMHO I think the mustang tried to be a muscle car and saw a bigger picture and more profit out of making it a chick car ect ect...so instead of making amazing muscle cars....they were satisfied with an average car....hence the pony aspect. I do not disagree that it worked out for ford better the way they went with the mustang, but to me it is 3rd on the list of muscle cars and is called a pony car for a reason.
