I think it's important to do what makes YOU happy. But realize that your family and friends probably aren't going to forgive as easy as you do. Trust is one of the hardest things for someone to gain back, and no matter how much you think you'll be able to trust him, you may find yourself questioning him deep down. You deserve a fresh start with a guy who wants to treat you like a princess and give you the world!! Ultimately, you have to make the decision, but I think in your case it may be best to start anew and journey down a new road.

Sorry I'm so late on chiming in here... but I've been through a lot of heartache as well and I know how hard it can be to be torn in a situation like this.
