You can say that again. I purchased LED lights to replace my metal halide lights over my aquarium, and that cost me $1400 for them.

I am however saving about $20 per month on electricity, my aquarium is a nice cool temperature all the corals and clams love it but things do look a bit different.

I do love the longevity of LED's though. Though I think I read that HID's are supposed to last the lifetime of the vehicle as well.
