They don't have a clue of what to do.
There have never been so many unsold units - ever.
Seas, and seas, of cars built for stock, or ordered by people who could not get financing.
Or by people who lost their jobs, or became fearful of losing their jobs.
The dumping ground for cars is wholesale auction.
They may end up there, but what are these overbuilt units worth?
A 2009 Corvette that stickers for $55,000, is rotting by the thousands right now.
That same Corvette will pull around $38,000 once titled (used), even with only 2 miles on it.
Who's gonna be dumb enough to pay even $50k, for a car worth $38k - maybe. If you can find a buyer.
Most dealers won't even take a Corvette or Truck on a trade now.
It's a huge mess that will play out over time.
