Hi, there is lots of stuff to see and do.
See: http://www.lvrj.com/neon
This is the Entertainment section of our local newspaper. Everything is listed in here - Concerts, shows, sporting events, tour providers.
In a nutshell, some of the attractions:
Fremont Street Experience in downtown (Old Vegas)
The Strip:
Fire breathing outdoor volcano show at the Mirage
Outdoor pirate show at the TI (at least I think it's still there)
Fountains at the Bellagio - Make sure you check out the Conservatory always beautiful
Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand
The Shark Reef at Manadaly Bay
Tons of Dining, Shopping, show and concert options
Off-Strip
Ethel M Candy Factory tour (really great now since it's decorated from Christmas)
Factory outlet Malls
Out of town:
25 Mile west of DownTown, Red Rock Canyon . If you're getting a rental car and not part of a tour group, I have an annual pass that I'll loan you if you want.
30 Miles S - Hoover Dam
40 - 50 Miles North - Valley of Fire (See SSGirls pics in the Ladies Lounge posted today).
For Discounts, see Groupon.com
Also, there are Local ticket discounters on the Strip and online. HOUSESEATS.COM (you can't see much fom their site unless you're a member) offers *FREE* tickets to select shows with a paid membership. A 2 person annual memebership is $89.00 I think. A lot of the offerings are "B" shows but every now and then they'll post tickets to big name shows like Blue Man Group. I have a 4-seat membership. PM me to find out what's currently posted during your visit.
Transportation:
There's a monorail that runs pretty much the length of LV BLVD with several stops at resorts along the way. I'm not sure what the fare is.
"Deuce" double Decker Open-Air tour buses run the strip.
Tour providers offer pick-up and drop-off at local hotels for their out-of-town clients.
