The fast melt Maxalt works just a tad quicker, maybe 1 1/2 hrs. My most recent Migraine was horrendous. I suffered all day thinking it would get better, but after throwing up three times I figured that was enough and went to the E.R. The E.R. did a CTScan and everything showed ok. The Dr. was hesitant to diagnose me with a Migraine, but said he'd give me a shot of Imitrex. If it was a Migraine then the Imitrex would work within a few minutes. They gave me the shot of Imitrex and literally within a minute the Migraine started to weaken. Within a 1/2 hour it was pretty much gone. I got a RX for Imitrex for any future problems.

I'm thinking that I'm going to ask my doctor about this during my annual checkup. This is something that has gotten worse the last 2-3 years.
