Vehicles it attempts to compete against in the marketplace...In fact, it's even less than the number of Challengers sold last month.

That's why I consider it a failure in the marketplace.

But you're right - the rest of what I posted was my opinion.
I don't consider it a failure at all. If you factor in brand loyalty, perception and production amount, I consider it a success. Ford, Chevy and Dodge have all been around for basically forever. Over those years, they have built a reputation among those years, whether it be because of quality or because they liked the style of cars they built (muscle cars).

Unlike the "big 3" , Hyundai has been plagued by perception issues. Everyone looks at Hyundai and associates them with poor quality and poorly built. Over these last few years, they have worked incredibly hard on changing this perception and have done very well...but still have work to do.

Production is another thing I would like to briefly discuss. It all comes down to how large the company is, what the needs of the dealers are, what the people want (loyalty) and perception. So it's really no surprise that these three sold more. Hyundai is a growing company who is trying to change their image.

Overall, what they are doing, is a success...because if not, they wouldn't be around anymore. One can only be bad for so long before it all falls apart.
