I'm thinking about getting a 2003 jetta with only 50k miles on it for 7k. Does anyone think this is a good idea? I just want some advice on whether or not the price is good and if the jetta is a reliable car or not. It has a 2.0l in it just in case you were wondering what type of engine.

Welcome. Don't know much about the Jetta (I specialize in Lexus/Toyota/Scion) but if you like it, the mileage is low enough it shouldn't give you many prob.'s! Make sure the price is same or lower than what they are going for in your area (I use autotrader). Have a mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection (worth the $40-100).
