As already mentioned, lenses are more important that the body they're attached to. One thing worth mentioning is the size of the camera body. The Rebel series bodies are smaller than the xxD and xD bodies. If you haven't already done so, go to a local shop and pick one up and make sure it will be comfortable in your hand.
