Hating? Yes. Speaking of Pgh. area. Pitt/PSU old rivalry. Some people are actually taking delight in the "downing" of Joe, since this has ruined his image. I have always backed Pitt, WVU & PSU. Anyway, Joe can't make anyone tell anybody anything. Let's just say Joe calls the police. He tells them his second hand story. The police investigate McQueary and Sandusky. McQueary states he saw something happen or he clams up. Sandusky denies everything. Then what? The identity of this victim is still unknown to authorities. Legally what do you have to stand on, hear say? Now defamation of character charges against you. The AD, Curley, stated McQueary told him that it was only "horsing around in the shower". So it's not far fetched that McQueary could have decanted his story. Now prior to this 2002 incident, in 1998, a District Attorney, Gricar who was investigating Sandusky, disappeared. So, the authorities already knew about Sandusky's behavior over 13 years ago.

As you can tell, some of my info I provided has already changed by today. Some people are quick to judge and immediately witch hunt. I'm glad to hear more facts come out. Granted, we'll probably never know the whole story. You should hear how the tone of host's of the local sports radio shows has changed. More level headed. Instead of just spouting off, they now seem to be thinking before they speak. It's not even been a week since the story broke and I'm worn out. It's just a horrible mess. Sandusky's interview, sickening.
Well there is a local and a national difference then. In all my life I've never ever once heard even one single person say anything but good about Joe Paterno. But Joe needed to be fired over this. NOT convicted or villainized. But the firing was justifiable. People disagree on what level of responsibility Joe had. I know I'd never send my son to play for JoePa after this. If he believes his job stops on the football field and not in the coaches shower then I have a problem with that. Again, I see a man who preached Honor, Integrity, and Character. And claimed to personify all of that. A guy who, when told he was going to be let go, told the school "No, I don't think I'm gonna let you fire me today. I'll go when I'm good and ready to go". Like Wyatt Earp in Tombstone. There are those who think it's possible this was somehow brought out now for the express purpose of firing Joe. I don't believe that. I have way too much faith in people than that. Masses anyway. There are enough good people out there to stop it.

Oh, and that DA disappeared in 2005. Investigating subsequent behavior of Sandusky.

Sandusky is a sick man - the interview he gave proved that. He doesn't think he did anything wrong? Just horsing around? Um...what? I am glad that the Media has now turned it's focus towards the guilty party.

Did you all see that McQuery stated to his friends that he DID stop the "horsing around" in the shower? He stated that he DID call the police and reported it. He stated that the Grand Jury got his testimony wrong...wonder if they did so on purpose! Interesting to see if the police release the report that Mike says he made.
Maybe. I doubt police were called. University police are a joke. They work for the University. Mabye it's just me but I wouldnt' stop until that jackass was in jail or McQueary was. His testimony was vivid, and accurate. If he lied or misinterpereted himself to the grand jury then he'll be going to jail. If he changes his story, Sandusky will walk. Time will tell. But the lawyers are already wondering wtf McQueary is talking about.

If you read the indictment, the grand jury got it just fine. And if McQueary lied or left out obvious items then he'll answer for that.

What a crazy mess.
