Also teach them to reload the weapon (with an empty gun and empty magazine) in the dark. They should be able to go by feel and not sight. Lasers are nice but should never replace good shooting principles. When you get back, teach her point shooting. Since people react how they train, if she is used to looking for a red dot and it isn't there (battery died, didn't turn it on, etc) she may hesitate.

I tell ya what I did, I got a M&P airsoft gun (same as my carry gun)..... its spring powered, so you've got to rack it each time (since I can't say **** in here)..... great for firing, simulating clearing a jam etc and getting back on target. Also good for the backyard, same ergos as the real thing too
