You don't think they could have been possibly threatened by GM for releasing photographs (especially depending on where they were taken) and therefor responded with commissioning an artist to create renderings instead to reduce the possibility of being sued?
I think it's definitely possible. Hopefully the story that is released with the rendering or picture explains further.
Then again, this all could be BS.
