There wasn't one, there was no direct competition in the market, which basically meant that if you wanted American Muscle you had to buy a Mustang, they had a Monopoly on American Muscle Cars. The return of both the Challenger and the Camaro means Ford is gonna do something to improve on their car. Ford fans win out in this. Competition pushes others to come up with new stuff and the consumers (while we pay for it) get better cars usually.

In the end, no matter what. The return of the Camaro and the Challenger is good for us all.
