As a cop, I found that hilarious! Here in Missouri, we actually have a charge for driving in the left lane when not passing another vehicle. Therefore, it is technically illegal to drive in the "fast" lane except when passing. I think it reads something like "failed to drive in the right lane on a roadway having two or more lanes in the same direction."
