That was actually my first thought. That's probably why Ford is only selling empty shells. If someone did complete the car, it'd be interesting to know whether they have to comply with emission and safety regs and crap like that. I remember hearing that Boyd Coddington got in trouble over that, but he was building them to sell....not sure if it is different if you build one for yourself.
Anyway, very cool idea anyway. The companies can sell bodies, crate engines, and all the other stuff. Just has to be assembled by the end user.
