It really was a slap in my face more than not liking G. She doesn't like my "choice in men" and what they do for a living. I am like GEZZZZZ, it is not like he does something awful. You would think he kills puppies for a living the way she rolled her eyes.
I don't need her approval and after this weekend don't think too highly of her. I am so mad I don't want to consider her a friend.

Your friend should be happy because you are. Perhaps she's jealous? With the eyerolling it doesn't sound like she's much of a friend, IMO.
ANd as far as what he does for a living? Well-- my dad is Oilfield and it is a perfectly respectable career. Without it we wouldn't be driving our Camaros. I hate people who hate on oilfield guys-- as Beck says, "eat a d***"....
