Missed a few days because of family things....but the RRR was an interesting game..OU scored 21 point off of the defense...so they still win 34-10 without that.
My honest opinion of OU is that they are the Green Bay Packers. They do not need to run, then do not need to have a dominate defense because their offense is so good. AND I MEAN REALLY GOOD.
There is only one thing that worries me about OU, really the only thing I think that can stop them......INJURY to Landry Jones...Kinda like Colt McCoy's injury in the BCSNCCG. OU puts a LOT of stock in his talents and abilities, BUT one bad hit and I think OU is FINISHED. I knew Texas would be a tune up game because of the inexperience at QB and like I thought OU's defense confused the young QB's.
In 2 years Texas will be Oh so good.
Alabama played Vandy...whoopie...I left the game mad. Alabama was flat, they didn't really play Alabama football. To me and the people sitting around me this game was a glorified scrimage in where Alabama worked on it's passing game, sure Trent got over a 100 yds. But it seems like they were practicing for the future.......this week will be no better when we play Ole Miss. Defense won on pure talent because they sure didn't play with the fire they had at Florida....but it is what Saban is trying to get out of Alabama and that is playing to your competition instead of a playing to a standard. Alabama has really one real game left and that is LSU and if they play anywhere like they have the last couple of weeks it will get ugly in Tuscaloosa on Nov 5.
But like I have said before it appears to be an LSU/Alabama vs OU/Ok St winners for the BCS N/C in the Superdome.
I watched the PAC 10 game last night Cal vs USC and it looked like a high school game. I honestly think some high school teams in Texas could beat them both.
Wisconsin looks ok but remember the Rose Bowl last year, Clemson looks to be improving but their QB is kinda banged up. The countdown begins until Nov 5.
